Acclaim for Far East Theatre’s latest production

28th March 2025 – Tags: Far East Thatre Company

Far East Theatre’s production of John Ford’s powerful and provocative tragedy ‘Tis Pity She’s a Wh*re was staged in the Paston Theatre in early March. Playing to near sell-out audiences, it was acclaimed by everyone from assistant principals to a group of students from Aylsham High School, with one colleague describing it as the best Far East show she’s seen.

Featuring Emily Hayes as Annabella, Eliot Etheridge as Giovanni, James Cooper as Vasques, and Cadan Yendell as Soranzo and directed by George Norton, the production involved 25 students and staff, and demonstrated yet again the creativity, commitment and talent on show at Paston.

In 2026, Far East will be forty years old. In that time, we’ve staged around a hundred shows and involved over a thousand students in our work. Plans for a 40th anniversary production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing are already underway.
