Important Information - Friday 28 April, Friday 5 May and Tuesday 9 May
18th April 2023
The University and Colleges Union (UCU) have told us that their members will be striking on Friday 28 April, Friday 5 May and Tuesday 9 May.
This union represents some of our lecturers and learning support staff and therefore we have had to make the difficult decision that we will not be able to run classes in the following curriculum areas on those days:
- Inclusive Learning
If you are a student in one of these areas you are not required to attend college on the days of the strikes and we will find alternative ways of supporting you to continue to progress with your learning.
For all other students and apprentices, we will continue to open the College on those dates and you should plan to attend College on those days (if you would normally).
Over the coming days our plans could change further, so please keep an eye on your student email account for any updates.
We are very conscious that for many of you this term is critical in preparing you for your assessments and exams. We will be doing all we can to ensure that you continue to be well prepared for the forthcoming challenges despite any disruption that might be caused by these strikes.
We are very sorry that your learning might be impacted by these strikes and please be assured we are doing everything we can to resolve this dispute.
