Plans for New Year on the way

18th December 2020

Plans for January 2021 are emerging and there will be remote learning for some students when the New Year arrives.

We will be finalising our teaching and learning proposals for the beginning of next term over the next day or two and we plan to email every student to let you know how you will be affected.

Alongside this, we’re also expecting more detailed government guidelines about Covid testing. We’ll be considering plans to test students whenever they’ve been exposed to the Coronavirus. Instead of asking you to self-isolate we’d be able to keep you in college but check every day that you’re not carrying the virus without symptoms.

We would also be able to test staff on a regular basis to make sure that they are free from the virus, and they would be able to get a test if they’ve come into contact with a carrier.

Some students will be learning remotely for the first week, beginning 4 January so please make sure you check your College email account regularly for updates on whether you will need to attend College or study remotely.

Keep in touch

  • Check your college email on a regular basis.
  • We’ll be updating our websites whenever we have new information.
  • We’ll use social media to communicate too.

This has been a challenging year for us all, but these new arrangements will help get 2021 off to a better start. With best wishes for the festive season.
