Tilda Fassih shares how her Paston College journey has seen her follow her acting ambitions.
A great reputation and a new adventure
I chose to study at Paston College as I knew of the drama and theatre studies course and had heard great things. I was ready for a new adventure and studied A Level Drama and Theatre Studies, English Literature and History.
Preparing for the future
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at college and I would encourage anyone to study at Paston College. It allowed me to meet so many likeminded people and I had the opportunity to watch many live performances, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The most notable difference from high school for me was that my tutors were only teaching that one subject so had a lot more time for their students, which I loved.
Character building
My time at college prepared me for drama school auditions with mock auditions and help with interview preparation. There was also a lot of support for personal statement planning as well.
If I could sum up my Paston College journey it would be - ‘character building’
Next steps
I am about to start a preliminary acting course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I am hoping to continue working in the industry and to encourage and promote the importance of the arts in education and society.
