Far East Theatre is Paston College’s celebrated student theatre company. It’s been running for 35 years and has staged almost a hundred productions. 

Far East has involved more than a thousand students who have done everything from Shakespeare plays to work by key contemporary playwrights like James Graham and Bryony Lavery. Works have been wholly devised projects and musicals based on Alice in Wonderland and Animal Farm. The theatre company has gone on county-wide tours with our work and taken productions to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Far East is open to all Paston students, whether you’re on a drama or theatre course or not. We need actors and acrobats, dancers and designers, stage-managers and singers, technicians and tumblers, mimes and musicians to stage two exciting productions each year. 

It’s certainly a commitment but also the most fun you’ve ever had. You get the chance to be part of a major creative project and you’ll make friends for life.
